About IHCA Membership

The Illinois Health Care Association is a proactive, statewide association dedicated to helping its members achieve success in the ever-changing field of long term care. Keep reading to discover the many member benefits offered by IHCA.

As an IHCA member, you’ll benefit from top-notch, low-cost educational programs; discounts on products and services; networking opportunities with a vast network of long term care professionals; and the advocacy and communication work of IHCA’s experienced and knowledgeable staff. Under the IHCA umbrella, the Illinois Center for Assisted Living (ICAL) provides support services for our assisted and supportive living members. IHCA member facilities and programs that cater to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (ID/DD) will benefit from the advocacy work of The Center for Developmental Disabilities and Community Supports (CDDACS), IHCA’s ID/DD entity.

Advocacy in Illinois

As an IHCA member, you will directly benefit from a public policy team that has the knowledge, experience and dedication to ensure that your interests are well-represented, whether lobbying the Illinois General Assembly or working with state agencies on regulatory matters. Long term care providers in Illinois need an advocate who can affect policy, and as an IHCA member, you’ll have one working on your behalf. At the same time, IHCA ID/DD members have a strong voice under The Center for Developmental Disabilities and Community Supports. Click here for more information about CDDACS. These organizations work together to benefit the entire long term care profession.

Advocacy at the Federal Level

As the Illinois affiliate for the American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL), IHCA/ICAL is also able to offer comprehensive representation on a federal level as well. AHCA/NCAL’s dedicated staff stays up-to-date on long term care and post-acute issues, and offers their expertise to their state affiliates and their members. They act as a strong advocacy force for the long term care profession and have a powerful voice on Capitol Hill.

High-Quality, Low-Cost Educational Programs

IHCA provides timely, top-notch educational opportunities for its members throughout the year, including face-to-face seminars, generally held in multiple locations around the state, and convenient web seminars. Continuing education credits are always provided. As a member, you’ll benefit from substantial discounts on these seminars.
